“When I was 21 years old I had a large Dermoid Cyst on my ovary and one of the symptoms was the loss of my menstrual cycle. I had the cyst removed but still no period. After several months my doctor put me on the pill and that “normalized” my menstrual flow. I remained on the pill for over 9 years and when I went off in December 2006, I was still not menstruating. In late March 2007 I went to see Laurel. She treated me 4 times over the course of 3 months and in early June I got my period. Laurel’s work was gentle and precise. Along with the acupuncture, she gave me accompanying herbs and dietary suggestions. As soon as my period came, our treatments stopped. “Laurel is an amazing person. I went to her when I was going through a crisis with a fibroid condition that led to severe blood loss on a monthly basis and totally threw my body in a whirl. Long story short, I received herbal treatments and acupuncture over a period of three months or more. Laurel worked with me and my doctor while I was awaiting surgery. I had become very anemic and needed to bring my blood count back up with prescription iron supplements. But it was the most uncomfortable ordeal to go through.
